Lea!

Well this might seem really lame and cheesy but I thought the family might appreciate a few pictures of Lea. These are back from Christmas time... just below and the picture to the right are and Temple Square and the picture to the left is from a Christmas dinner party. To give a little back round on this wonderful guy... he is 23 almost 24 in May, he is from a small town in southern Utah called Bicknell, from a small family of his parents and a younger brother and sister, he served his mission in Chile, is a student at UVU going into exercise science, and he wants to be a physical therapist. Besides all that he is just absolutely wonderful!

Catch Up!

My sister in law Kari started a tradition of Easter basket exchanging a few years ago. For the past two years I have participated and LOVED it. This year was wonderful! This is a picture of my Easter basket from the LOVELY Juli Bowman (thanks again!!). Above are a couple pictures of my basket which included LOTS of super YUMMY chocolate including Peanut M&M's which are my ALL time favorite, a beautiful purple tin water bottle, a scarf, a salad cook book along w/ some supplies, and some delightful body soap. I was very pleased w/ my basket this year! Thanks Kari and Juli for making it possible!

Dinner Anyone?

My roommates and I have become quite the cooks... well for college anyways.  We always try to have sunday dinner/lunch together. We all take turns on doing the main dish and pitch in help. Its really fun and boding. Its funny bc Tess, Nicole and I always talk about food. Our conversations are Mostly about food, movies, FOOD, how work or school was, what we ate for lunch, here and there we get the talk on boys and then FOOD! We LOVE food and it brings us closer together! HA HA. 

Anyways here are a few photos to capture the deliciousness! 

Freedom days!

Tess and I at the parade, the little kids were going Nutz for the candy.. it was great I would beat them off then hand the candy to them.

Tess, Me and Nicole before our race. Nicole and I ran the 10k and Tess ran the 5k. Nicole did really good she got 2nd in our age group and 13th overall. I ran mine in and 1 hour and 1 minute. Not my best but i have another planned for the 24th!

Well my Professional Massage Therapy is complete! Wow I cant believe 7 months of school has come and gone! It has been such a great learning experience! Not only have I learned a lot a out massage but tons about myself and my body. 

Its crazy now when I talk with anyone I can tell so much about their discomforts and areas they need work done. 

I absolutely love giving massages. I fell more in love with this program then I thought I ever would. 

MAJOR SLACKING

FINALS

This week I finished my second quarter! WOW school is going by so fast.... way too fast. Finals were this past week... and I'm here to give the report. Monday came with Cranial Sacral Therapy and Hydrotherapy, Tuesday I had Structural body work and Shiatsu, Finally, Wednesday I had Anatomy and Professional Development.

So this is how my finals work. The first hour I take a written final on the class then for the next two hours we do "hands on" work. Our session are 50 minutes one partner does a session then we clean up and the other and the other partner does a session.

Our sessions include things such as: for Hydrotherapy we did a full body salt scrub, or we do a full body Shiatsu session, or a full body structural session (DEEP tissue) Its so fun. Nerve racking of course but its amazing to learn So many different modalities.

Overall, I did very well. I got A's on everything except Anatomy.... but no worries. This coming Quarter I'm going to Kick my anatomy 3 final in the butt and get an A.

Elders Robert D. Hales

I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about the wonderful CES fireside I was able to attend at the Marriott Center on BYU campus. Elder Hales was the speaker and it was so wonderful. He spoke of placing ourselves on higher ground through strong eternal marriage, provident living and gaining an education. he gave a few helpful tips to fortify our relationship with our Savior Heavenly Father and those we are dating or married to:

1. Know Who You Are!- realize and understand you are and son or daughter of our Heavenly Father.

2. Know The Doctrines of the Gospel

3. Choose To Obtain Eternal Blessings From our Heavenly Father

4. When You Are Married Know That Courting Is Now Over

5. Be Selfless- serve one another, COMMUNICATE with each other

The fireside was so wonderful. Living here in Utah I have tried to take advantage of having the opportunity to go and listen to apostles. I'm also, VERY grateful to have so many temples so close. I love it
